Sagaing Division In Kany Township, the military council army and the local people’s defense force are fighting in Monywa. The clash took place between Mileposts 37 and 38 near Yagyi Road at around 6 pm this evening.
“The gunmen opened fire on the houses of local people living in tents in the forest. The fighting broke out in the area where they could not stand it. It is not yet known how many innocent people were harmed by the shelling of their tents,” said a local resident.
The exact number of casualties in the clashes in Kany Township this evening has not been confirmed.
