Four people, including actor Min Yar Za, were prosecuted

Four people, including actor Min Yar Za, were arraigned in North Okkalapa Township Court today (May 7) at around 11:30 am, according to court information officer U Zeyar Oo.

Four people, including Min Yar Za, were arrested in Yangon Region. North Okkalapa Township Shwe Pauk Kan Area Police Station (P) 505/2020; A case has been filed under Sections 326, 325, 354 and 114 of the Penal Code. U Maung Maung Aye, the father-in-law of Min Yar Za, was also charged under Section 325 of the Penal Code in Case No. 1082/2020.

Prosecutor Robert San Aung said, “The court changed the case and the case will be heard at the next court hearing. This is the biggest case.”

On the day of the trial, Min Yar Za’s mother-in-law U Maung Maung Aye applied for bail. Insured with two guarantors.

In addition, Tamwe Township. Tamwe City Police Station also arrested Min Yar Za (P) 802/2020; A case has been filed under Section 376 of the Penal Code.

North Okkalapa Township Court Information Officer Zeyar Oo told the media, “I was arrested today and Maung Maung Aye has been released on bail.”

The next office hours for the North Okkalapa Township Court are set for May 21.
